Conversion Copywriting FAQs

While we do specialize in conversion copy, we don’t specialize in a market. Our experience spans B2B, B2C and not-for-profit sectors.

Some of our best copywriting work is with industry-leading B2B service providers, trainers and coaches, including course creators. We also have extensive experience with e-commerce brands marketing high-quality, sustainable B2C products. In the NFP sector, we serve some of the most progressive, innovative organizations driving social and environmental change.

If you’re in marketing software (Martech), AI, healthcare, biotechnology or education, we’re a great fit, too.

Conversion Copy Co offers full-funnel copywriting. That means we write
websites, emails, ads, landing pages, video scripts, pitch decks… If the copy is digital and the intent is to sell, we write it.

What don’t we write? If the purpose is purely to inform, educate or rank in search, that falls outside of conversion copywriting. (Think top-of-funnel content, like articles, blog posts and white papers, or awareness content, like press releases. These are not in our wheelhouse.)

What about print sales copy? The results from print are far harder to measure and evaluate, so we only write print copy if it’s part of a larger campaign that includes digital. As conversion specialists, we need data to optimize your copy.

You’ll be working with Anna Bolton, unless we mutually agree to bring in another copywriter to support or lead the project.

We specialize exclusively in conversion copywriting.

Our clients either have in-house marketing teams or outsource to specialists in paid and search acquisition, performance design, development, email automation and analytics.

If you need referrals to other specialists, we’re happy to make the connection, but we don’t manage the work of outside consultants.

It depends on the scope.
Once we contract and you reserve time with a deposit, we can usually start the research process within a week. Research takes a minimum of two weeks.

Full websites, long-form sales pages and multi-email sales sequences take at least another two weeks.

While we do take some small projects, we can’t shortcut the research process. To write high-converting copy, we need to spend at least 10 hours on research… often, far longer. That’s why there’s a minimum $1k fee for research alone.

If you have a small project, like a homepage or lead generation landing page, expect to spend another $1k after research. Some email sequences (sales, nurturing or onboarding) can be less.

Yes. If you have someone in-house who can write copy, but needs guidance, ask for a quote. We also provide consulting on the copywriting assets you need in a sales funnel and what should be included in each.
